Why I Love Fasting
So, I’m fasting tonight and tomorrow, ostensibly due to the holiday, though I’m not that observant and my pre-fast meal was decidedly non-kosher. But I really like to fast, and this is a good excuse to do it. If nothing else, others are doing it as well, so that’s cool. The reason I like to fast, though, is that I think it’s healty. Not because it’s...

Fashism Adores AdoredAustin
fashism: Awesome fashion blogger AdoredAustin (Fashism user Indiana) wrote about us this week, and though we like reading what everyone says about us, anyone from Austin, TX holds a special place in our heart. Plus, her writeup was really cool: Dear Internet, meet my newest online addiction: Fashism. Fashism can help you decide what to buy when you’re out shopping. It can help you decide...

Michael Moore’s Billionaire Backers
One difference between libertarianism and socialism is that a socialist society won’t put up the money for people to make libertarian movies, but in a capitalist/libertarian society the capitalists are happy to put up the money for anti-capitalist movies. — David Boaz

WatchWatch
Jon Stewart’s weird segment on ACORN. So Jon Stewart tore into ACORN pretty hard. You should watch it. Thing is, it’s not that funny, at least I don’t think so, but then, I’ve never found Stewart to be all that funny. I’m curious, though, do his fans think this was a funny segment, because even the audience members’ laughter seemed pretty muted.
