There’s a new bookstore/furniture store in greenpoint called OPEN AIR MODERN which sells used, rare and out-of-print books AND mid-century modern furniture.
Sure, it’s a little rich, BUT it’s fun — and it reminds me of my grandfather’s space-age house built in the 50s.
Anyway, I bought this book “Architecture 2000” by Charles Jencks, which is basically a discussion of what architecture might look like in 2000 written in 1969. FUN.
P.S. The book smells amazing. I could bury my nose in it, and totally get taken to a different place.
