I’ve always really liked this song, though I don’t get the line: “You never count your money when youre sittin at the table”. Um, how can you play poker without knowing what your stack size is? It’s crucial to know how much you can potentially win or lose in a situation. But again, minor quibble to an otherwise great song. (Also, I’ll add that the original has a little more grit to it, iirc).The Gambler - Mike Doughty
