Roger Ebert Leaves The Lede For Last
I got fired from The New York Sun for reviewing a play that I’d only seen about half of. Ebert, however, gets a promotion for reviewing a movie he only saw eight minutes of! I would ask for my job back at The Sun if The Sun still existed. There is a difference, though. Ebert at least admitted within the review that he hadn’t seen the movie.
