Paul Simon & Miriam Makeba — “Under African Skies”
This is a great song, and in theory I like the idea of Paul Simon doing a duet, but honestly I feel like this lady his holding him back a bit. Somehow the pace is just a tempo slow for my like. But it’s still better than any song I’ve written, and besides I’m still in my Paul Simon-80s-Africa phase, so this hits the spot. If I could teleport myself to anywhere right now, it’d be a huge Paul Simon stadium concern in Mozambique in 1985.
