The End
So our biggest fund has an issue. Coming soon to a newsstand near you, I guess. Maybe a line-item on CNBC or something.
Basically, I’m screwed. So I’m home early! This weekend’s my birthday, so I’ll get good and drunk over it and wile away the days until they clean out the place. I figure on a few more checks, then a severance, and then I guess unemployment.
Rabbits leap from hats on occasion and I suppose it could still happen here, which would be interesting. That said, it does not look good right now. There’s pretty much a consensus amongst the higher-ups I know that we’re all dead in the water if the news is true. My tendrils amongst them scarcely fail, so there’s that.
I think it might be fun to re-evaluate? I dunno. Feel free to leave career suggestions. It’s all on the table, really - one thing we can all learn from this is that pursuit of money above all else is at best sort of hollow and at worst sort of the birth of a train-wreck disaster. Maybe I’ll teach this stuff? Those that can’t do, after all.
