Charlie Louvin — “Great Atomic Power”

There’s something about pious Christians. They can write songs about certain topics with a clarity and confidence that others just can’t muster. In this case, it’s the metaphysical implications of the nuclear bomb, and what it means to man.

And the thing is that if you have no fear of death, then you can sing a song about the nuclear bomb and everyone is dancing and joyously singing without any hint of irony, which is also really interesting.
